Volunteer at Barry Beavers Disabled Swimming Club

Barry Beavers Disabled Swimming Club (DSC) are always open to recruiting new volunteers. 

Barry Beavers Disabled DSC was established in 1981.

The club supports all disabled people in the community by running weekly swimming therapy sessions at Legacy Leisure Centre in Barry.

  • There are volunteer various roles from helping in the swimming pools, to roles in different areas and ways  to help the club operate.

The club provides training to volunteers for free where required.

The club has trained Halliwick Swimming Therapy Instructors who run the pool sessions, there are always opportunities to progress within the club.

The sessions run on a Saturday from 3.30pm to roughly 5pm.

It’s a great club, lots of friendly people and it is a place where everyone is important.

Time commitment: This opportunity takes place on a Saturday 3:30 - roughly 5pm
Expenses reimbursed: Unfortunately, we are unable to reimburse a travel expense.
Training provided: Full training is provided.
Selection procedure: An informal chat, application form completion, 2 references and a disclosure and barring check (cost met by organisation).
