Voluntary Sector Resilience Survey

WCVA is exploring ways to help build and maintain the resilience of the voluntary sector in Wales. As part of this work, Grow Social Capital are undertaking a survey to understand views and interpretations of the concept of ‘resilience’.

We are seeking to engage the widest range of organisations – from the large to the small, across a variety of activities, and from the length and breadth of Wales.

The initial response to this work has been positive, but we need to ask for your help to reach some parts of our sector that are currently underrepresented in the survey responses. We are particularly keen to hear from –

·      Groups that work with ethnically diverse communities

·      Welsh language users

·      Trustees

North East Wales is also underrepresented in the responses so far. The survey is available in Welsh and English and Grow Social Capital are committed to Welsh language provision as part of this work.

The aim of this research is to draw the voluntary sector’s views on resilience together. This will contribute to a helpful definition of resilience, provide evidence of what does and does not work in relation to building resilience, and inform WCVA’s work in supporting the sector as we emerge from the pandemic.

We would appreciate your support in encouraging your members and networks to take part in the survey which can be found at https://growsocialcapital.org.uk/have-your-say-on-resilience/.
