Vale People First Teen Scheme Project is looking for three new support workers to join our exciting dynamic team

Funded by the Vale of Glamorgan Council, the scheme works to support children and young people aged between 11-19 with complex physical and learning disabilities during out of school term times. We also have lots of fun activities booked through the Summer of 2022.

We run on a sessional basis. Usually 22 days of the year, however there will be more sessions throughout this Summer to support our young people on day trips out. We pay £11 per hour and provide lunch and mileage costs. The sessions are for 6 hours each day, based in Celtic Way Community Centre in Rhoose. The other sessions will be at Folly Farm and Surfability in Swansea. We also run a peer facilitators project in Barry.

We are looking for people that know about equality and disability, some experience working with children and young people would be a desirable. We will complete a full enhance DBS check if you are successful.

If you would like to be considered, we will invite you for an interview with our young people in due course.
