Llantwit Major Support Worker

Two Part-Time Posts – 0.4 FTE (2 days) and 0.6 FTE (3 days)

Salary – 0.4 FTE post £6,749pa and 0.6 FTE post £10,122pa plus potential for supervisor cover uplift

ValePlus is recruiting two part-time posts to support the delivery of our provision in our Llantwit Major Centre. The roles are Post 1: Monday to Wednesday and Post 2: Thursday and Friday and when applying please specify if you are interested in a specific one or wish to be considered for both.

The role of the Support Worker is to work alongside the Centre Manager to provide a welcoming environment for our service users, who are adults with additional learning needs. Our Centre has up to ten individuals attend daily and we provide a varied programme of activities in the Centre and the local community to encourage them to remain active in their learning.

The ideal candidates will have experience of working with and engaging effectively with adults with additional learning needs or similar client group. The role requires an individual who has good computer skills, good teamwork skills, ability to engage and encourage our service users, ability to push a wheelchair at times we are out in the community and to participate in walking groups. The role will require an Enhanced DBS.
