The third round of the Community Ownership Fund is now open!
The Community Ownership Fund helps voluntary and community organisations to buy or renovate assets, such as pubs, sports clubs, theatres, and post office buildings, so they can continue to play a central role in towns and villages across the UK.
To date, the Community Ownership Fund has awarded £1.8m to 9 projects in Wales (please see attached promotional pack for case studies).
There have been some key changes to the eligibility requirements for the fund including:
bringing the match funding requirement down from 50% to 20%, and further reducing the requirement for projects where they are eligible for in-depth support and have been assessed as having the highest need to 10%
extending the funding cap for all asset types from £250,000 to £1 million, in exceptional cases
