PR: Love the Vale Day aims to highlight the best of the Vale of Glamorgan

Bro Radio, the Vale's local radio station,  has launched an annual day to celebrate everything great about living, working and visiting the Vale of Glamorgan.

The first Love the Vale day will take place on Wednesday 16th November and builds on the success of a similar event in 2019, which saw almost 100 local people take over the radio station.

During the day, Bro Radio will hand its entire radio station over to the community, inviting businesses, organisations, charities and individuals, to record a short message to promote their work, share their challenges and what they are doing in the lead up to Christmas.

With the current cost-of-living crisis having a huge impact on local communities, the station feels it's even more important for it to shine a light on businesses, organisations, charities and individuals that make the County such a great place.

Content Producer Ben Dain-Smith said: "We keep hearing about businesses closing, footfall declining, and charities seeing increased demand for their services due to the cost-of-living crisis. This is our way of shining a light on what's happening in the community and connecting as many people as possible during a day of radio."

"We want this to be an opportunity for the community to be honest about the current crisis; how its impacting them and how the local community can support them, especially in the run up to Christmas."

To take part, you simply need to record a message of no more than 2 minutes - sharing information about your work, challenges, offers, fundraising campaigns or anything in between. It's completely free to take part and we'll even let you choose a song to follow.

Submissions are required no later than 5pm on Tuesday 15th November 2022. Submission can be sent on email to production@broradio.fm or on WhatsApp to 01446318007.
