Nursing Assistant Practitioners and Return to Practice (Nursing and Midwifery) Event

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is holding a two recruitment events simultaneously on 11 January, showcasing roles for nurses, midwives, as well as HCSW (Healthcare Support Workers). The event will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff.

Nurses and Midwives

For those attending for the Nurses and Midwives event who are interested in returning to practice via the NMC Test of Competence Route, please email nurse.recruitment.cav@wales.nhs.uk to arrange a booking for the event.

Healthcare Support Workers

For those attending for the Healthcare Support Worker event for their interest in Band 4 Assistant Practitioner/Trainee Assistant Practitioner post, please refer to the below criteria that these roles apply to:

·    An experienced Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) with a Certificate of Higher Education for HCSW.

·    A HCSW who has completed the first year or the first two years of the nursing pre-registration programme but wasn’t able to complete year 3.

·    A registered nurse who is no longer registered with the NMC.

·    An internationally trained nurse without NMC registration.

·    A fully qualified Assistant Practitioner/a nurse.

Attendees at the event will be able to visit stalls and talk with managers about the range of nursing opportunities available.

Members of our team will be present to give advice on interview techniques and job applications, as well as sharing their experiences of working for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
