17.5 Hours (Mon-Wed week 1 Mon-Tues week 2)

13 months maternity cover starting September 2023

£23,965 to £25,226 per annum (pro rata)

We are looking for a supportive and empathetic individual who can provide the day-to-day operational management of an independent living scheme helping tenants to achieve an independent and positive life. 

About Us

Newydd Housing Association is a charitable housing association that offers 3,000 affordable homes for rent and sale to people where need is at its greatest in Mid and South Wales, working in several local authority areas. 

About the role 

You will provide housing management services to tenants, coordinate activities, promote tenant wellbeing, and report maintenance repairs where required ensuring a high-quality service and a supportive environment. 

About you

Relevant and proven experience of working with older people or in a supporting people or housing, housing advice environment is essential for this role, along with a strong understanding of the needs of older people and the aging process.  You must be able to work on your own initiative with minimum supervision and be able to engage our tenants effectively and encourage participation. IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications are also essential. 

The right attitude is just as important to us as the skills and experience you bring. We are looking for a Independent Living Officer who has a strong customer service ethos and great communication skills, will go the extra mile and can take ownership for resolving issues and meeting our tenants needs.
