We are looking for a Financial Inclusion Officer with a strong background in benefits, income maximisation and rent account management, to support our tenants to maximize their income and improve their financial wellbeing.
About Us
Newydd Housing Association is a charitable housing association, that offers nearly 3,000 affordable homes for rent and sale to people where need is at its greatest in Mid and South Wales, working in several local authority areas.
About the role
Working closely with colleagues in our Housing Team, the Financial Inclusion Officer will provide support and assistance to our tenants with budgeting, income maximization and welfare benefits. Crucially you will provide much needed support with universal credit applications and housing benefit claims as well as raising awareness of current and future welfare reform changes.
About you
Relevant and proven experience within the financial inclusion, welfare benefits or money advice sector is essential for this role, along with a good knowledge of welfare reform, housing benefits, budgeting and delivering financial inclusion initiatives. IT skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications are also essential.
The right attitude is just as important to us as the skills and experience you bring. We are looking for a Financial Inclusion Officer who has a strong customer service ethos, will go the extra mile and who is also a team player who can take ownership for resolving issues and meeting our tenants needs.
