New approach to volunteering in Wales
WCVA and Welsh Government are co-creating a new approach to volunteering with key stakeholders in Wales, share your views on the new vision statement.
We’ve been working with Welsh Government to co-design a new approach to volunteering with key volunteering stakeholders. As part of this work we’ve produced a vision statement and we’re now looking to test this in order to improve and refine it.
THE VISION
We see volunteering as benefiting not only those who are helped, but also the volunteers themselves and the wider community and society. Our vision is that volunteering becomes ever stronger as part of our identity and culture in Wales. We aim to spread awareness of its value and the importance of its diverse benefits, strengthening the future impact of volunteering in every field of activity.
SHARE YOUR VIEWS
As part of the co-creation process, we want to test the level of support for the vision statement and help improve and refine it. A short survey has been developed which gives you an opportunity to share your views on the vision.
The survey is for any individuals and organisations who work with volunteers, or anyone who has an interest in supporting and developing the approach to volunteering in Wales.
We hope representatives from your organisation will complete the survey and we also ask that you please share the link with your members, networks and beneficiaries, so we can consult as widely as possible.
DELIVERY FRAMEWORK
As well as the survey, there will be additional chances to contribute to the consultation on the new vision through workshops and network meetings. A Delivery Framework is also being tested in the run up to our flagship event, gofod3 where we intend to launch the vision.
FOR MORE INFORMATION
For further information or if you have any queries about the consultation and would like to hear more about how you can get involved, please get in touch with Becca Mattingley on beccamattingley@outlook.com.
The closing date for the survey is 30 May 2025.
