National Advertising Campaign Social Care Wales
As you know there is mounting pressure on the sector in terms of recruitment and several parts of the social care sector are experiencing difficulties in recruiting and retaining staff.
As part of the response at a national level, we will be running a TV and social media campaign for three weeks from the 23rd August.
The TV campaign will be shown in the main via ITV and S4C and will feature the three previous adverts that have been so well received last year. They will be shown separately and spread across the 3 weeks to ensure maximum exposure and reach. Alongside this we will be running a social media campaign using Welsh Government social media channels, show casing a range of case studies/roles that represent the range of roles across the sector, focussing on some of the roles that are facing the greatest pressure at the moment.
We know from previous experience that TV campaigns and social media presence really raises the awareness of the opportunities in the sector and this has been seen in the traffic to the WeCare Wales website (www.WeCare.wales/) and our call to action for all of our social media and TV campaign will to direct to the website and especially the jobs portal.
Our ask of you is that you:
Share this message amongst your networks to alert them to the campaigns and encourage them to follow the social media channels listed below
Use your communications channels to share the social media content as widely as possible and if you are not already following us then please follow us: Our social media addresses are as follows
Twitter: @WeCareWales
Instagram: @GofalwnCymruCares
Facebook: @WeCareWales
Utilise the jobs portal at the WeCare Wales website www.WeCare.wales/submit-a-job/ by making sure that any jobs you currently have are listed there as this is where we will be directing potential job seekers. It takes minutes to register and then list your vacancies
Provide support to the regional connector posts that support our WeCare Wales programme who will in turn be promoting and supporting this work across the region
We thank you in anticipation of your support and help on this campaign
