The January 2023 grant round is focused on funding groups working with Children, Youth and Families to develop the personal financial life skills which are essential to navigate through the difficult economic challenges people are facing in the UK.

Who can apply

We prefer to fund small to medium-sized non-profit organisations with a constitution for example registered Charities, CICs, Credit Unions, excluding statutory organisations.

Organisations should have an annual income under £500,000 and have less than six months free reserves.

Eligible expenditure

We fund a very wide range of organisations for all sorts of activities related to increasing personal financial capability.

The applications most likely to be successful are those that ask us to fund a specific activity cost rather than a general contribution to running costs or a much larger project.

How to apply

We invite organisations to apply if they have a great idea for a financial capability project, related to the current grant round theme.

All applications should be Innovative either in Audience, Approach or Delivery and will make a lasting impact on the way people think behave and manage their money.

Each theme is repeated every two years.

Each round will focus on delivering financial life skills projects to organisations who assist and support defined groups.

The group categories range from children, carers, older people, offenders, to those living with disabilities.

There are two grant rounds per year, applications are only invited online in February and September.

We limit each grant round to the first 40 accepted applications.

All grants are below £7,500.
