Meet the Funder - Strong Communities Fund

GVS is running a meet the funder session alongside the Vale council in relation to the Strong Communities grant. This session will be lead by Penny Lauder from the Vale Council and will give participants an opportunity to find out more about the fund, including an opportunity to ask questions.

More information about the Strong Communities Grant

The Strong Communities Grant Fund offers grants to community groups, voluntary organisations and Town and Community Councils of up to £15,000 towards the cost of initiatives within the Vale of Glamorgan that help to support the Council’s vision of “Strong Communities with a bright future”. 

The Fund aims to improve the resilience of organisations/groups or their activities by funding projects that add value to their current work, can demonstrate longer term sustainability and reduce reliance on grant funding in the future.
 
The fund is open to applications until noon on 30th April 2025. Decisions on applications will be issued in June 2025.  Successful projects must be completed by NO LATER THAN 31st March 2026.
