Media Support Volunteer

Aged 18+? Interested in gaining some media experience? Why not volunteer with us?

The Media Support Volunteer will support GVS staff in the production of recordings for our monthly radio show.

This role can be done from home with some occasional visits to our Llantwit Major office.

The Media Support Volunteer role has two main elements, you could choose to do one or both. 

• to organise and conduct pre-recorded interviews with community groups and charities within a deadline

• to read and voice record news items on behalf of community groups and charities

Skills Required

• an interest in media and radio

• the ability to record using a computer, laptop or tablet

• be able to interview participants in a professional manner

• the ability to work on your own initiative

• good communication skills 

Time commitment: A suggested time commitment is 2-4 hours per week.
Training: Full training will be provided.
Expenses reimbursed: Unfortunately, travel expenses are not reimbursed.
Selection procedure: Informal discussion, application form completion and 2 references.
