Do you love all things digital?  Could you support our tenants to make the best use of technology and to make a positive difference to their lives?  If so, then we would love to hear from you.

About Us

Newydd Housing Association is a charitable housing association, that offers nearly 3,000 affordable homes for rent and sale to people where need is at its greatest in Mid and South Wales, working in several local authority areas.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a key part in our digital journey and to join our tenant focussed Community Regeneration Team. We are looking for a Digital Support Assistant to support tenants in accessing and making the best use of technology. This includes providing technical support, coaching, and resources to help tenants use technology to improve their lives.

You will support our digital drop-in surgeries, roadshows and tenant events to spread the word about all things digital. As Digital Support Assistant you will be creating user-friendly guides that champion the benefits of new technology and keeping accurate records on participant engagement and impact, along with digital inclusion assets.

About you

You will be tech-savvy and keep up to date with technology and future trends whilst recognising that the tenants you will be working with may have very limited experience of smart devices and the internet.  Inclusion is at the heart of this role.

You should be educated to GCSE level at minimum, with a strong working knowledge of MS Office 365 applications. This is a busy and varied role, so we need you to have great organisational skills and be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.

So, if you are excited about the opportunity to give our tenants the tools to face the digital world, if you pride yourself on providing an inclusive service and you have great communication skills then why not apply?

Closing date for applications: midnight Sunday 25 June 2023

Interview date: Wednesday 12 July 2023

*Please note that we reserve the right to close the role earlier than scheduled if a suitable candidate is found and/or subject to the number of applications received so please apply early to avoid disappointment.

Newydd are proud to be an equal opportunity employer! We respect and seek to empower our people by supporting the diverse cultures, perspectives, skills, and experiences within our workforce. We believe that the more inclusive we are, the better our work will be. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds particularly from people of colour or people with disabilities as they are currently underrepresented in our workplace.

Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply or contact us to discuss your experience. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
