Established in 2010, MAC is an accredited real living wage and ‘fair play’ employer operating across Wales. We deliver a range of innovative projects to meet the changing needs of thousands of children, young people, their families and communities each year. Everything we do is supported within a trauma informed, rights led and strengths-based approach to encourage participation in our holistic services on a voluntary basis. Our vision is that all children and young people in Wales are safe and given opportunities to live meaningful lives.

Project Outline:

MAC is able to offer the opportunity to be part of its long-standing criminal justice diversion project.  Your role, facilitated through tailored on the job support, training and development, will be to work in a small, talented team directly with young people aged 10-17 who have been arrested for low-level criminal offences in Cardiff. The primary aim of the roles is to reduce the risk of re-offending through delivering bespoke interventions and support.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in youth work and share our vision in supporting young people to live safe and meaningful lives. Full training, including formal youth work qualifications (if needed), will be provided.

The post is subject to satisfactory references and enhanced DBS.
