Salary: £31,029 - £35,066 per annum

Hours: 35 hours per week

 We are looking for a Service Manager who will be responsible for the commissioned Advocacy and Independent Visiting services for local authorities in Cardiff & Vale, as well as some independent services to other providers.

 As a Service Manager you will have responsible for the delivery and development of services which includes the management and support of staff delivering these services, working to ensure that all services are delivered to a high standard and are within budget.

You will liaise with the relevant local authorities and agencies to maintain effective working relationships and will work with Operations Managers and the Business Development team to take forward tender submission.

You will also be expected to support new services in the surrounding areas.

To meet the requirements of the role you must live within the geographical area.

In your application, you will need to evidence, using specific examples, how your skills and experience meet the criteria laid out in the person specification, within the job description attached. Requirements include:

  • Substantial proven practice experience in delivering direct work to children, young people and vulnerable adults in a social care setting.

  • Considerable experience of the supervision of staff/volunteers.

  • A professional qualification in a relevant field.

  • An ability to communicate effectively and to a high standard both orally and in writing to a wide range of people.
