Job Vacancy - Independent Professional Advocate, Age Connects Cardiff and the Vale

Age Connects Cardiff and the Vale is looking to recruit an Independent Professional Advocate to provide specialised advocacy support to older people either on discharge from hospital and in care home or community settings across Cardiff & the Vale of Glamorgan.

 Independent Professional Advocate – 21 hours *  £12,270 (funded until March 2022)

 The role will assist older people who are referred to the service to exercise their rights, voice and control so an understanding of the Social Services and Wellbeing Act, including part 10, Code of Practice, is required.

 Working with other professionals, organising your own workload and excellent communication skills are essential along with the ability to keep accurate computer records.

Job role allows for a flexible working pattern and will incorporate some home working.
