helping differently-abled children play the sport, by assisting with our sessions, or helping us set up and take down our sessions

There will be opportunities to meet professional baseball players in some of our activities, and our volunteers will help organise those events - and be valued members who reap the rewards of being part of it. Opportunity is available for 14+ and even younger. Clubs take place in Barry and Cardiff
About Baseball Softball Gwalia
Baseball Softball Gwalia uses baseball and softball to increase participation, social inclusion, and leadership development among all young people in wales. We are affiliated with MLB’s Nike RBI programme and also Little League UK, part of Little League International, the largest youth sports organisation in the world.
We nurture self-confidence, physical fitness, teamwork and sportsmanship.
We help young people develop values of honesty, fairness & equity and integrity.
We encourage our participants to excel in all aspects, to become young leaders in their communities, encouraging academic achievement.
Our ultimate goal is to build a better future for all our young members and help them be ambassadors in their communities
Our sessions run in various settings… secondary schools, primary schools, community youth groups. Most of all, we run a very positive session, which has a remarkable impact on their self-confidence, motivation and concentration.
What we do
Baseball Softball Gwalia helps young people play the sports of baseball and softball (baseball with a bigger -not softer- ball). We also provide baseball5, a growing, accessible, super fun street version of the sport that only requires a ball.
Make Sports Accessible
Because we believe all children should have access to sports, Baseball Softball Gwalia makes baseball and softball affordable and accessible for all youth in Wales, regardless of age, skill or household income.
Reverse the participation trend
The disparity in team sports participation between children from low-income and middle-class homes has grown dramatically. We aim to reverse the trend.
