Hapi project to launch in Cardiff and Vale
The award-winning Hapi project is delighted to announce details of the new health and wellbeing services to be offered in Cardiff and Vale.
Hapi (Happy, Aspiring, Prosperous and Inclusive) is a health and wellbeing project providing local communities with free resources and access to workshops to positively impact mental health and wellbeing.
The project was launched by Newydd Housing Association over 6 years ago and has been successfully running in Rhondda Cynon Taff for over and is supported by the National Lottery Community Funding. With its fantastic success in RCT, Hapi Cymru have received funding from Cardiff and Vale University Health Board to run similar activities free to all communities living in and around Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan.

The free activities currently delivered by the Hapi Cymru include:
• Food & Nutrition: Cook a Longs, Food Wise (Weight Management), Food & Nutrition Level 1, Surplus Food Distribution.
• Physical Activity – Pilates, Family Workouts, Get Fit Wales (see below) Couch 2 5k and much more.
• Emotional Wellbeing Workshops – such as Mindfulness, Stress Busting, Managing Depression, Psychology and lots more
• Education Training & Employment- Variety of online accredited courses
The HAPI ethos is to help make a positive difference to the health and wellbeing of the communities living in and around Rhondda Cynon Taff and Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan. HAPI is delivered as part of Newydd Housing Association’s commitment to creating sustainable communities.
The project can work with anyone of any age, any level of fitness and from basic cooking skills.

Hapi is officially launching its Cardiff and Vale programme on the 12th May 11.30am-12.30pm via zoom.
