“Future Proofing” Social Prescribing in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan – towards a common language
Invitation to a free online event hosted by the Wales School for Social Prescribing Research (WSSPR). It will be a great opportunity to shape the future of social prescribing in Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan and build upon the work the RIC Hub has undertaken with WSSPR over the last year.
Wednesday 24th May (Online via Microsoft Teams) – 2.00-3.30pm
This free online event will bring together practitioners and experts to offer insights into the future for social prescribing as we move closer to the adoption of a National Framework in Wales. It will provide the opportunity to hear directly about the work of the Ministerial Group, and allow connections to be made with the work that has been undertaken by colleagues from the Wales School for Social Prescribing Research (WSSPR) based at the University of South Wales in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan on the creation of a self-assessment ‘Development Matrix’. It will also be a first opportunity to see how the new online National Glossary of Terms for social prescribing can be explored and used in practice.
Featuring Dr Simon Newstead and Professor Carolyn Wallace of WSSPR, the event will also offer an opportunity to consider how best to build up networks of people who have a stake in delivering social prescribing services in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. The event is open to anyone who has an interest in social prescribing, whether service managers, practitioners, commissioners or other stakeholders. There is no separate registration process – the link to the meeting is provided below, so please just share this diary marker with as many people as you’d like to. We look forward to seeing you there.
