Earn while you learn with our Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship

Do you want to embark on a career in healthcare and earn while you learn? Our new Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) Apprenticeship will provide a mix of on-the-job training and learning that will lead to employment as a HCSW.

The HCSW Apprenticeship is a formal 18-month training role designed to provide apprentices with the knowledge, skills and work experience needed to progress into a HCSW role. Working alongside experienced healthcare professionals and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, apprentices will assist in providing high-quality and compassionate care to patients by supporting with personal care, meals and mobility.

Once apprentices have completed their HCSW Apprenticeship, they will be awarded a level 2 apprenticeship qualification and will be guaranteed an interview for a Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker post.

HCSWs play a vital role in providing care to patients and work in a range of settings such as hospitals, general practice and as part of a community team. The role can also lead to a range of exciting career opportunities in nursing and midwifery.
