Cymru Football Foundation - Fit-For-Future Equipment Fund

Small grants up to £30,000 available covering essential equipment from goalposts to pitch maintenance equipment.

Who can apply

Following the panel consideration of all valid and eligible applications, your organisation:

i. May be awarded an offer of grant because your project meets the requirements, is considered a high enough priority within the available budget and able to proceed within the timescales in 2023; or

ii. May be advised that although the project is not ready to proceed in 2023, or is not currently a priority for funding, it can be reconsidered for future funding rounds; or

iii. May be advised that your application would need to be modified if it is to be considered for future funding.

You may only submit one application, for one project, at any one location. However, organisations holding a responsibility for multiple sites i.e. Local Authorities, may submit separate applications for different sites.

Evidence of your legal title/use of the area to be developed, for at least 10 years, must be submitted with the application. Or a letter showing that the Freeholder will enter a no less than ten-year secure agreement.

In the case that ownership sits with another organisation (school, community council, etc.) then the application should be made from the host organisation.

Eligible expenditure

  • Increasing participation in sport improving the mental and physical health of participants.

  • Increasing the number of multi-sport facilities to boost participation in

  • non-football sports, achieving wider community engagement (in addition to football, and on a regular and sustainable basis).

  • Creating stronger and more stable community focussed clubs, engaging with more community groups and with more players across all ages and backgrounds, i.e., welcoming, and attractive to, and inclusive of, people with disabilities, people from BAME backgrounds and benefitting areas where there are higher levels of socio- economic disadvantage.

Before completing the Application Form, please read the instructions to confirm you can satisfy the key requirements set out on this form as well as in the accompanying checklist guidance.

The Application Form must be completed in full, either electronically or in legible black ink.

Only those projects that pass an eligibility and validation test will be assessed and subsequently considered by the decision-making panel.

The CFF will reject any incomplete or incorrectly completed forms, that prevent a full assessment. Your Application Form along with any supporting documentation must be completed and returned in .PDF or .Docx format or by post by no later than 10pm on Friday 6th January 2023 either:
