Come and have your say on the future of food in the Vale of Glamorgan
What change do we want to see for the future of food in the Vale of Glamorgan? How can we future-proof our food system so that current and future generations are able to buy, cook, eat, grow and share good food?
We’ll be looking at these questions and more in the free Our Food Horizons event taking place in Barry Memo Arts Centre on November 23rd from 10am – 3.30pm. The event is being organised in partnership with Natural Resources Wales and the Vale of Glamorgan Public Services Board (PSB).
Our Food Horizons invites key stakeholders and members of the public to discuss their priorities for a healthy and sustainable food system in the Vale. The event builds upon a number of other local projects, including the work of Food Vale, the Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Climate Challenge Plan Project Zero, the Cardiff and the Vale University Health Board’s Move More Eat Well plan, and the Vale PSB Wellbeing Plan.
Findings from the event will form the basis of a new five-year Vale Food Strategy, which will also include a 100-year vision for the food system in the Vale of Glamorgan in an effort to ensure that the needs of future generations are also being considered. The event will be using the Three Horizons framework to help attendees think and plan for the longer term.
The day will include a light lunch, and hot beverages will be available throughout.
