Children's hospital garden transformed into magical winter wonderland

The garden at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales has been transformed into a magical winter wonderland for children and their families.

Supported by Noah’s Ark Charity, the Sparkle Garden is part of a series of festive events for children and young people being cared for at the hospital.

On its opening day on 4th December, children and their families visited the garden and enjoyed festive music, light displays and sparkle tattoos. The lights have been on display throughout the week.

For children and young people unable to leave their ward, large animation units are shining snowflake animations onto to building for them to see.

The event was kindly sponsored by Figure of Eight Events.

Alison Oliver, Clinical Service Lead, said: “These decorations are part of a schedule of events that we try and provide to make a difference to children and their families that may have to stay in hospital during Christmas.

“We are extremely grateful to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity, Figure of Eight Events, our volunteers and Capital, Estates & Facilities for making this possible.”
