Children and Women's Clinical Board | 2025 Staff Recognition Awards
Colleagues from across the Children and Women’s Clinical Board have been recognised for their exceptional dedication, hard work and passion for supporting patients and their families at the annual Staff Recognition Awards.
The event on 15th January 2025 was hosted by Cardiff & Vale Health Charity patrons and Radio Cardiff hosts Nathan Wyburn and Wayne Courtney and brought together colleagues and teams from across the directorate to recognise their outstanding contributions.
Chief Executive Suzanne Rankin opened the ceremony, highlighting recent achievements, including Wendy Ansell’s MBE for her work supporting survivors of harmful practices, Rhian Greenslade’s recognition as Inspirational Nurse of the Year at the WellChild Awards, and Kim Baker’s selection as a finalist for the RCN Nurse of the Year Award.
Speaking about the awards, Suzanne said: “Congratulations to all our winners, runners-up and nominees. The past year has been a challenging time for healthcare, but colleagues’ resilience, compassion and commitment have been unwavering.
“Despite the demands, there have been moments that remind us of the extraordinary work happening across the clinical board, and it was fantastic to recognise and celebrate those achievements.”
The event was kindly supported by Cardiff & Vale Health Charity and winners received gift bags and certificates, while attendees celebrated with tea, coffee and cakes.
Congratulations to all the winners, runners-up and nominees!
