Carers Support Fund 2022 Programme Launch

Thanks to the continuing support from the Welsh Government and their commitment to address the needs of unpaid carers across Wales, Carers Trust is delighted to be launching the Carers Support Fund Wales 2022.

Local Authorities, third sector organisations and NHS bodies are invited to submit proposals to deliver the fund in Local Authority areas across South East Wales. Detailed below are the Local Authority areas and the maximum amount of grant funding available to support carers in:

  • Blaenau Gwent - £41,937

  • Caerphilly - £100,650

  • Cardiff - £159,362

  • Monmouthshire - £50,325

  • Newport - £75,487

  • Torfaen - £52,002

  • Vale of Glamorgan - £68,777

  • Rhondda Cynon Taff - £134,200

  • Merthyr Tydfil - £33,550

Awards will be made for a 12-month period (1 November 2022 – 31 October 2023). Please note, there is a different budget allocation across the two financial years (please refer to the guidance notes for further detail). The set upper limit per local authority area is defined as per available Census figures.
