Cardiff Council Waste Management - hygiene service change

We’ll be making a small update to the hygiene service from 15th August, in terms of the way we replace bags.

Currently, service users are supplied with a roll of bags when they sign up, then either order more online when they’re running out or need to visit a Hub to collect more.

Due to the demand on our home delivery teams, the lead time for bags etc is around 10 weeks, so this is putting in a barrier to participating in the service.

To overcome this, we will be moving to replacing bags on a ‘like for like’ basis. If a service user puts out 4 bags, we’ll leave 4 behind, thus meaning they can take part again straight away.

Bags will still be available at local Hubs should they be needed, but the online ordering service will stop.

Initial rolls of bags will still be provided on sign up.
