Barry Beavers Success at Welsh Regionals

On Saturday 12 October, Barry Beavers Disabled Swimming Club travelled to Rhondda Sports Centre to compete in the Welsh Regionals.

Six of our swimmers won Gold medals and will be representing Wales at the Nationals in Crewe.

  • Holly - Ladies 50m

  • Kat - Girls 100m

  • Nick, Vincent, Tom & Abbie - Senior Relay

Barry Beavers regularly compete in local Galas across the South Wales Region, but it’s not all about competitive swimming. Barry Beavers Disabled Swimming Club welcomes swimmers of all ages and all abilities. We have trained Halliwick Instructors and volunteer helpers. The Halliwick philosophy is based on Water Safety and Happiness in the water. We use games, music and suitable toys to have fun and teach swimming therapy and safety.

We are always looking for new members and new volunteers. Volunteering does not have to be in the water, we need help with Admin, Safeguarding and Recruitment. If you would like to find out more, please visit our website: https://www.barrybeavers.org/
