Adolescent to Parent Violence and Abuse (APVA) Parenting Worker Vacancy with Media Academy Cymru (MAC)

Salary: Circa £25K per annum

Term: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Main base: Merthyr

Closing date: Monday 5 June 2023 at midday.

APVA comes in many forms; physical, emotional, financial and verbal. Your role will be to lead the Parallel Lives team in Merthyr (as part of the wider APVA team), managing referrals and delivering support and interventions to a caseload of vulnerable children, young people and parents/carers. The aim of MAC’s 7-week psycho-educative and therapeutic support programme, ‘Parallel Lives’ , is to work with families to make a commitment to work together to tackle APVA and to recognise individual behaviours and the impact they have on others.
