2023 – Did you Make any Changes?

Is this a time to make changes for yourself?

Did you reflect upon the past year/s and was there something you would like to do for you?

It goes without saying, that we all set new year’s resolutions such as giving up smoking, doing more exercise, completing that diet.   I am guessing that these changes may well have been broken. But there is still something you can do.

But, if you take some time to have a quick think, do you have a little free time for yourself?  Would you like to volunteer?

Have you ever thought about volunteering?

Build your confidence, skills and gain really valuable work experience.  Meet new people. Improve your health and wellbeing.  Enhance your CV and gain a reference.  Have a taster for a career change.  You can use your existing skills and also gain new skills.

It goes without saying that a lot of people do not know what they can get involved in. Whilst charity shops and hospitals are what people usually think of regarding volunteering, which is great, there is actually a very broad range of opportunities available.  We promote hundreds of volunteering opportunities across the Vale of Glamorgan.

  • You can give one hour, a few hours or one day a week to volunteering

  • Most of our recruiting organisations will also reimburse a travel expense to volunteers

  • For those on any benefits, you can get involved in volunteering

If you would like to know what opportunities are available or if you want to get involved in volunteering, get in touch with us.  Staff will have a chat to you and find some volunteering that is just right for you.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us using the form below.
