GVS Covid Response

In our role as the County Voluntary Council for the Vale of Glamorgan we are concentrating our efforts on being the conduit between support offered and support needed, whilst supporting organisations, some newly formed, with their governance and planning. All staff are currently working from home so please bear with us.

COVID 19 Financial Impact on Charities and Voluntary groups working in the Vale

Message from Rachel Connor, Chief Executive, Glamorgan Voluntary Services (GVS)

In these challenging times we are asking Charities and Voluntary groups that work in the Vale of Glamorgan about the services they are offering in response to the COVID 19 crisis. We’ve compiled a (very) short online questionnaire for you to complete to tell us about the services you are offering. This will give us a full picture as possible about what is happening across our communities.

The Financial Impact on organisations is also causing a great deal of concern. The questionnaire also asks about the likely financial impact on your organisation. This information is necessary so we can provide evidence to Welsh Government for emergency funding for our local Third Sector.

I know you are probably being inundated with requests for information. However, I would urge you to complete the simple online questionnaire which can be found here https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/NCN3W6D.

The information you provide will help us serve our communities better and, hopefully, assist us to draw down funding to help plug the gap that’s been made by this crisis.

I look forward to hearing from you

Rachel Connor, Chief Executive
