Charity Shop Volunteering

Charity shops are looking for enthusiastic and reliable retail volunteers to help support their charity shops.   The shops raise vital funds for various reasons, to support those in the local community living with a life limiting illness and their families or for vital research.

As a charity shop volunteer, you’ll take part in a wide range of activities that support the day-to-day running of the shops. You could be involved in:

  • Sorting through donations, being aware of the possibility of a hidden gem and better quality brand

  • Preparing items for sale by checking, hanging, steaming, sizing and pricing them

  • Customer service

  • Processing transactions on the till (once trained)

  • Replenishing the stock on the shop floor

  • Or perfecting eye-catching displays to entice customers in!

There is opportunity for everybody to help with something.

It is a fantastic way to meet people, make new friends and build confidence.
